Who Is This Handyman?

My name is Shawn Mercer.  I am a 50 year old single entrepreneur.  I spent 15 years living as an off-grid homesteader in the woods of Maine.  I was previously a middle school teacher, and spent my summers working as a carpenter.  

I now spend my summers as a charter boat captain, sailing my classic 1968 Alberg 30 out of the Sebasco Harbor Resort in Phippsburg, Maine.  The rest of the year I am helping people like you with small carpentry projects, home repairs, and general handyman jobs.  I can do anything from changing a lightbulb to replacing your deck or renovating your bathroom.  I'm capable of doing carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.  I do general repairs, painting, move furnature, or small engine mechanics.  I enjoy helping people, and there is no job too small.

If I tell you I can do the job, then I will do it right.

I will tell you if I don't have the time or if the project is beyond my skill level.

I will communicate clearly and consistently.

I will show up, be on time, and always do my best.
